Arts Every Day 10 x 10 Exhibition “Freedom Dreaming: Finding Joy”
February 17 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until March 27, 2022
Arts Every Day is very excited to present the 6th Annual 10X10 Exhibit titled Freedom Dreaming: Finding Joy. Inspired by the works of Dr. Betina Love’s We Want to Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom and Robin D. G. Kelley’s Freedom Dreams: The Black Radical Imagination, this exhibit intends to spark creative discourse within classrooms and encourage both students and teachers to think about themes such as perseverance, struggles to find joy, making and finding connections and relationships, and deep listening and observation. We hope this exhibit will help students share their own stories while envisioning what the future holds for them!
Arts Every Day believes in the power of art to build community, provide an avenue for youth expression, and introduce new lessons and concepts in the classroom. The 10×10 exhibit is one of the many ways we uphold this mission.
Must be current Baltimore City Public Schools teacher, student, or organization working with BCPSS students to participate.
Due to COVID19 we adhere to wearing masks, sanitizing and staying socially distant.
