In his newest exploration of his craft, Baltimore artist Adam Stab presents “Moving Targets,” a multi-site project of new murals, collage, community event and conversational programming to attack head on the worrisome and growing complacency around gun culture and gun violence in the United States.
Stab’s new works both imbues as well as addresses traumatic and jarring imagery, documentation and accounts of the far too frequent events of large scale gun violence. Center to the work is a curated series of discussions focusing on the one-on-one experiences of Baltimore residents with gun culture, how it has affected them and how we can work together to dramatically alter the landscape of how these conversations occur in America.
The event will include a panel discussion with members of the creative class on gun violence at 12:30 p.m.; Adam Stab’s art exhibit, “Rat Scraps”; and a dance party in Graffiti Alley from 3 to 11 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public.
