The giving season is upon us and Motor House is not wasting any time to show why it is important to invest in the arts. As the city is still reeling from an unprecedented public health pandemic, Motor House is continuously working to push the needle forward in supporting local, emerging artists by hosting the “Be The Art” Fundraiser.
Starting on Tuesday, November 30th and ending on December 31st, Motor House will be hosting this special fundraising campaign to continue the work of creating space for local, emerging artists. Plus, the organization is creating new programs to ensure access, greater resources and opportunities particularly for BIPOC, LGBTQIA, women artists and more!
The campaign will kick off on “Giving Tuesday” with a LIVE broadcast from Motor House with “Good Morning Baltimore,” the morning show of WEAA 88.9 FM. “Good Morning Baltimore,” hosted by Kelle Avent & Tyler B, will feature voices from the arts & culture community including Motor House resident artists, art advocates and other special guests and supporters. Along with the live broadcast Motor House will kick off the online campaign to connect with supporters across the country. Throughout the month, Motor House will host a special Happy Hour, a musical performance and a community art project that will give patrons and supporters an opportunity to express themselves as they become the art.
