Kim Loper

Kim Loper is a designer, mixed media artist and educator who has taught and managed arts programs in collaboration with schools, landscape architects, community centers, neighborhood groups and non-profit organizations for over 10 years. In her work she examines how social constructs manifest within our bodies and personal and collective histories become encoded in our DNA. Her current investigations explore racism as disease and the consequences of white supremacy. She is committed to creating socially interactive spaces that encourage internal and interpersonal dialogue about who we are, and how we all affect each other’s development of self. Loper hold an MFA in Community Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
